I Want You to Know...

I thought I would give you an update. Grandma passed away on the 8th of April. She’d had a good day, Mum and I took her some easter eggs, she had a sunday roast, wine & two puddings!! 

You wrote such a good eulogy for Grandpa, I’m not sure we can follow it up now. But we’ll be thinking of you when we’re at the funeral. I hope you’re together, with Grandpa and Dad.

On a lighter note I’ve finally finished University! It took six years but I got there, I hope you’re proud of me! I’ll let you know what result I get. I have an internship helping manage events at The Purcell School of Music, I start in a few weeks, it will be good but I want to be in Brighton really! 

I’m looking at a website I think you’d really like, it’s a live stream of 4 kittens! One of them is playing with the camera at the moment, I can imagine you saying ‘baawww’. I miss you so much

Hey, I’ve almost decided on my next tattoo - it’s not going to be the one I asked you to design but didn’t get round to sending you the spec for - I was waiting until I had enough cash for the ink before I sent it to you.

Also, I’ve been watching Buffy again - finally bought myself the box set - and the thing I like best is that I can hear you laugh/guffaw in season 2 and 3 when they start making sex jokes.

I’m moving back to Brighton again in September - I think you’d have interesting things to say about the PhD topic I’m going to be writing on - my sofa is yours whenever you want it, same as ever.

The coroner liked your Belvoir Angel tattoo. How cool is that?

This picture has been on my bedroom wall at my parents house almost since it was taken.  It was our last day of the Belgium trip.  It was wonderful; the best school trip there ever was.

Your French was better than the head of French’s French so you were the one who they got to talk to the French-Canadian Mounties in the Netherlands when our bus got locked in to a car park.  I bloody love that story.  I bore people with it every time “have you ever been to the Netherlands?” comes up in conversation; you’d be surprised how often it comes up.

I’ve thought of you all day.  Sunny days in Belgium and all.

because you shared so many of my important memories with me without me realising. Thank you for being there each time, you will be missed again and again

I really miss you. You’re not around and I really miss you. I wish you weren’t so far away.
